FIRE RETARDANT SURFACE COATING PRE MIX

A VERMICULITE based Fire Protection Pre Mix for Structural Steel for obtaining four hours of fire rating during Cellulosic and Hydrocarbon Fire Conditions.

FIRE SEAL is a Fire Protection Coating based on special graded Ex-foliated Vermiculite, Portland Cement, Plasticizer and Additives.

Ex-foliated Vermiculite is a naturally available mineral and is utilized World over for various applications including Fire Proofing and Thermal Insulation.

Design Aspect

During the fire, structural steel in a Petrochemical, Fertilizer, Chemical and Power Plants begin to buckle at 550°C. During extreme fire this temperature can be attained within fifteen minutes and can result in early collapse of the structure. A protective layer of FIRE SEAL on structural steel reduces the damage by decreasing the temperature gradient within the steel structure, preserve structural strength and form for long enough to save the occupants and bring the fire under control before the Building or structure collapse.
FIRE SEAL is the last line of defence which remains in place on columns and beams at the time of fire.

    Application :

    As FIRESEAL is a pre-mix coating, only requisite water is to be added at site. FIRESEAL can be applied with Spray gun or trovel on the substrate. All surfaces to receive sprayed fireproofing shall be free from oil, grease, dust etc. to ensure proper adhesion to the substrate.

    Required Thickness : Exact required thickness of FIRESEAL protection can be arrived at after knowing the dimensiton of the steel and the required fire retardancy which may vary from 1 to 4 hours.
